'A God That Could Be Real' In The Scientific Universe: Cosmos And Culture If we take seriously our scientific knowledge, we can redefine God in a new and empowering way that expands our. And what does it matter to us as believers? Consider what the Word says vs. what the world says. According to God’s Word, the world has it wrong, and believers should take this seriously.

Why does God’s Will for my life really matter?? SCRIPTURE: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’. Does Christology Really Matter? by Sinclair Ferguson “ We all unanimously teach that our Lord Jesus Christ is to us one and the same Son, the self-same perfect in Godhead, the self-same perfect in manhood; truly God and truly man acknowledged in two natures, unconfusedly, unchangeably, indivisibly, inseparably the properties of each.

Why does understanding the Bible matter? The Bible claims to be perfect, inspired revelation from God (2 Timothy ; 2 Peter ). Its words are powerful (Hebrews ). The Bible is the most published book in the history of the world. It has been translated into more languages than any book in the world. People Matter. They matter to God and they should matter to us. One of the biggest hindrances to growth in any church is the general lack of compassion for other people. We easily find reason to dismiss someone from being someone we would introduce to Jesus due to how they look or what our impression of them is. However, They Matter. Just how they are at this very moment.

Does God Matter. features eleven original essays written by prominent philosophers of religion that address this very important, yet surprisingly neglected, question.

One natural way to approach this question is to seek to understand what difference God’s existence would—or does—make to the value of the world and the well-being of its inhabitants. Matthew Barrett (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is associate professor of Christian theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as the founder and executive editor of Credo Magazine and the host of the Credo is the author of several books, including None Greater; 40 Questions About Salvation; God’s Word.

In 1 Peter 1, Peter calls upon the saints to live in fear of God (). In chapter 2. After all, if there is a God and He does exist and it turns out Jesus is His Son, that is an objective reality. It has zero to do with how I feel about it.

And the truthfulness of it isn’t determined whether the person stays busy and says “I don’t care if God exists.” Another issue that comes up is the following worldview questions. Does God matter. Some behave as though He does not. They live their lives in their own way. They curse, drink, gossip, lie, cheat, steal, or commit fornication.

To them, God does not matter. However, logic and the Bible, teach that God does matter. God matters because He. No matter where we go we will find opportunities to hear God’s voice and do His will.

We will find our own life, our anger, our pride, our stubbornness and self-seeking, and by putting these things to death we are transformed more and more into Jesus’ image and in this way we are doing God. Every life is precious to God.

No matter how you were raised, or what you have experienced, or how you have been treated, your life matters to God. Skip to content. BibleTruths. You certainly matter to Him. He came to give you life and life more abundantly (see John ). You are not just a face in a crowd or a number. No, He knows you by name and has a personal love for you. And in spite of the mess that you might be in, He wants to meet your every need and make your life beautiful.

However, God’s love for everyone does not mean that everyone will be saved (see Matthew ). God will not ignore sin, for He is a God of justice (2 Thessalonians ). Sin cannot go unpunished forever (Romans –26). If God simply disregarded sin and allowed it to continue to wreak havoc in creation forever, then He would not be love.

Wonderful book to gain better understanding of just why the church is important to God and why we should respect and love the church as well.

With so many, Christians and non Christians alike critical of the local Church this book is helpful in giving scripture and narrative for right thinking for s:   Does God Really Like Me. is an integrative look at how we actually experience God in our lives, weaving insights from biblical theology, neuroscience, and decades of Cyd and Geoff's pastoral wisdom.

But, as a matter of fact, God has arranged the parts in the body--every one of them--as He has seen fit. (WEY) 1 Corinthians But, as a matter of fact, there are many parts and but one body. (WEY) 1 Corinthians How then does the matter stand.

I will pray in spirit, and I will pray with my understanding also. Having taught Experiencing God many times, I remembered that there was a list of the names of God in the appendix of that classic work. I’d also taught Kay Arthur’s book, Lord, I Want to Know You, covering forty-two names of God.

So, I decided that for two weeks, our small group would look at a couple of the names of God. ‘Do I Matter to God?’ “DO I Matter. Does God Care?” Thus read the title of an article appearing in Christianity Today.

“Much of my career as a writer has revolved around the problem of pain,” states Philip Yancey, the author of the article. By contrast, the Bible teaches: “With [God] is the source of life.” Those words have profound implications.

If what the Bible says is true, life does have meaning. Our Creator has a loving purpose that extends to all who choose to live in accord with his will. God’s thoughts and ways are far superior to human ingenuity and thoughts (Isaiah ), and He emphatically states, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (ve emphasis added throughout).

Apparently God is in a different energy state, and cannot appear to us without our being destroyed. That's why he appeared as a burning bush to Moses. A spirit does not have mass, like matter. I think you would be enlightened by the Essay at the below referenced website, under "Articles." It also explains why God created man, and discusses truth.

This week: Why does faith matter? Why do people think it is important to believe in God or not? (submitted by Divya) These are many reasons faith matters (and entire books on the topic).

And I’m sure my take on all of them will get me .Since God is For You, It Doesn’t Matter Who is Against You. I. The “not guilty” verdict stands despite Satan’s accusations II. In life’s fiery trials nothing separates you from God’s love. I. We are convinced that God is for us because from eternity to eternity there is evidence of His love.
